Aussie Corbett's historic fullbore win

For the first time in 56 years, an Australian has won the Queen's Imperial Meeting Grand Aggregate, held in the Mecca of fullbore shooting, Bisley, UK.

Fullbore shooter and multiple Commonwealth Games representative James Corbett beat a field of 825 competitors, including some of the best long-range shooting talent in the world at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Imperial Meeting.

The Queen's Prize was won by UK shooter Dr John Warburton.

Parker (1948) and Pavey (1956) are believed to be the only two other Australians to have managed the feat since the competition began in 1873.

There have been 12 winners from Canada and five from South Africa, with all other being UK locals. The most successful competitor was Jimmy Spaight, who won the Grand Aggregate four times between 1973 and 1978.
