From our good friends at NIOA comes the news that the highly-regarded Ruger Gunsite Scout rifle is now chambered in 5.56 x 45mm (.223) – and it will soon be available in Australia. An initial order of 500 rifles will soon be on their way to our shores.
You can check out the video to see just how great these rifles are but, for the uninitiated, the Ruger Scout is a short, light, bolt-action carbine. It was orginally chambered in 7.62 x 51 (.308) but the new 5.56 x 45mm (.223) rifles should find favour amongst recoil senstive shooters like our esteeemd editor Marcus O’Dean. The Ruger Scout rifle is renowned as a versatile, all-around rifle that has a fast barrel twist and is highly accurate.
